Questa comprensione è possibile solo quando attraverso l’indagine sul Sé siamo riusciti a sbarazzarci dei movimenti mentali e siamo ritornati nel luogo da dove è emersa questa mente dualistica. Questo luogo è il Sé che Ramana ha definito il cuore spirituale. Il cuore spirituale è non solo la fonte della pienezza della coscienza, ma anche di tutti i pensieri inclusi quelli relativi alla prima persona, il pensiero dell’io. La mente che è naturalmente pura, silenziosa e unitaria quando è alla sua fonte poi si divide e frammenta, questo è dovuto al potere di tendenze innate. Da questo punto di vista, viviamo la nostra vita in modo non naturale. L’abitudine potente di cercare la felicità al di fuori di noi ci allontana con forza dal cuore attraverso un torrente di pensieri. Bisogna vedere l’importanza della vita nel contesto della necessità di ristabilirsi nel proprio stato naturale di Samadhi. Il nostro impegno centrale nella vita deve essere stabilito verso questo scopo superiore e felice.
